Welcome to the University of Kentucky Alumni Association of Greater Louisville!

There are approximately 27,500 UK alumni living in the Greater Louisville area. All alumni are welcome to join in the University of Kentucky alumni network. We are always looking for new programming ideas and new leaders. If you have an idea for a program you would like to initiate, let us know. It’s a new year Wildcats, and you all know what that means. The UK Alumni Association has a wonderful lineup of events for you to participate in, including various networking opportunities, fundraisers, seminars and more. Our Pre-Game Pep Rally at the Kentucky Exposition Center last month was a wonderful success. More than 1,000 Big Blue fans turned out for the event! Third Annual Jenni Casper Memorial Golfapalooza

Mark your calendar for the third annual Jenni Casper Memorial Golfapalooza! The event will be held on Saturday, June 23 at the University Club in Lexington, Ky. The cost to attend is $150 per golfer or $500 per group of four. Louisville Slugger UK Bats

The Greater Louisville UK Alumni Club has partnered with Louisville Slugger® to make a special-edition officially licensed UK bat. You can personalize this bat any way you want – a total of four lines of text is available – making it perfect for any event: anniversaries, birth announcements or baby gifts, retirement, graduation, groomsmen gifts… you name it! Each bat costs $100 and can be ordered online here. A significant portion of the proceeds will benefit student scholarships and programs through the Greater Louisville UK Alumni Club.

UK Pre-Game Pep Rally

More than 1,000 Big Blue fans turned out for the 2012 UK Pep Rally at the Kentucky Expo Center on Jan. 3 before the UK vs. Arkansas-Little Rock game at Freedom Hall.

Fans enjoyed video highlights, free face painting, a basketball toss game, music, food and drinks. UK’s cheerleaders, pep band, dance team and Wildcat mascot also added to the excitement.

“Our local UK Alumni Club is always pleased to host this Pep Rally for the UK fans in the metro area,” said Steve Rush, event director. “This event is geared toward UK fans of all ages, and we always have a great crowd and a lot of fun.”

“We’d like to thank Fan Outfitters for being the event’s title sponsor and Central Bank for being our club’s corporate partner,” Rush added. “We appreciate their support and participation in making our Pep Rally a huge success.”

Kentucky Sports Radio, with host Matt Jones is now on the air weekdays from 10am to Noon on WKJK - AM 1080. This show is very entertaining and is all about UK Sports.
